Kathleen Higgins graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2000 and was admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey.
Kathleen Higgins comes to the practice of law from a diverse professional background. She has been involved with advocacy for domestic violence survivors, crime victims, homeless prevention services, and families affected by chemical dependency. Kathleen initiated several innovative programs to assist “at risk” youths and their families, as well as developing and implementing training and educational programs for professionals, families and individuals in these areas of public health
Kathleen is also a trained mediator having used transformative problems resolution for families and community based disputes.
Drawing on her experience in the variety of legal issues and having honed her skills, in 2004 Kathleen and another attorney formed a law partnership. In 2011 she became the sole principal of what is now a General Practice that focuses on Real Estate, Probate and Administration, Estate Planning, Personal Injury, Civil Rights and Civil Litigation.
